Used Cars- Take Advantage
What an exciting time to be a consumer in today's car market. There are amazing deals and a lot to consider, when Canadian consumers are purchasing their used cars and trucks from the USA. First off, we are all accustom to being told what we can afford, what to buy, and to purchase our vehicles new. Let's sign a 4-6 year commitment to an over priced brand new GM, Ford, Bmw, Dodge, or Mercedes product. We'll get zero percent financing, and all will be well. When the finance term is over, we'll be left owning a vehicle that we've paid twenty thousand dollars to much for, and worth a fraction of our investment. Times have changed and you the consumer, owe it to yourself to change with them….or at least consider it.
There is an amazing opportunity right now to purchase a used vehicle from the USA, and save thousands of your hard earned dollars. Consumers are buying used cars at a discounted price, and loving it. Vehicles that we would never consider for ourselves because they have the prosperous BMW or Mercedes emblem on it, have suddenly become affordable to the average income earning individual and family. The domestic brands we have been shoved into for years are amazing deals as well, when buying slightly used. Don't get me wrong, I am not knocking the products from our manufacturers; I am simply telling consumers to consider buying used cars, rather than new vehicles.
Let's get into a few of the fabulous deals on the market at the moment.
The Chevrolet Traverse retails for $37 000 with modest option and features. GM offers a $2500 rebate, but it's not enough. Purchase a slightly used, well equipped 2010 Chevrolet Traverse AWD from the USA for $23 00 USD, and have it on your driveway for $25 500 CND all fees in. You just saved $10 000, with plenty of warranty left on your vehicle. The same amazing opportunities apply to the Chevy Malibu, Cadillac Escalade and most GM's used cars and products.
Ford has done an amazing job redesigning, tuning and revamping the 2010 Mustang Cobra GT500. You can now get 550 horsepower and 510 pounds of torque, for a base price of $60 000 CND. Pay attention, you can purchase a 2010 with 12 000 kms on it for $39 000 US, and have it on your driveway for $42 500 CND. You just saved $15 000 to $20 000 because of the heavy depreciation factor. Ford has lots of used cars that make sense financially like the F-150 pickup truck, Ford Taurus and Ford focus. All of these can be purchased in the USA for much cheaper than Canada.
We will get into some of the more luxurious used cars with huge savings in next week's edition. Until then, find a website that lists USA vehicles to Canadian customers, and assists with the shipping and importation. Take advantage of the best vehicle purchase experience of your life!

Is it better to buy a slightly used crossover or a brand new one?
I was told to buy a slightly used crossover because it is cheaper and I won't lose it's value like buying a brand new one.
Go with slightly used... let someone else take the hit on depreciation that a new vehicle takes when you drive it off the lot.
